Ordering & Bundles
How many bundles do I need?
For a full sew-in, most installs use 2–3 bundles depending on length and how thick you want the result:
- 16–18 inches: 2 bundles
- 20–22 inches: 2–3 bundles
- 24 inches: 3 bundles
If you're adding a closure or frontal, you can usually get away with one fewer bundle since those pieces cover your leave-out area. Thicker natural hair typically needs the higher end of the range. When in doubt, go one bundle up, leftover hair keeps for your next install.
What lengths do you carry?
All nine extension textures are available in 16, 18, 20, 22, and 24 inches. HD Lace Frontals run 16–22 inches only, the extra weight of longer lengths affects how a frontal lies flat against the hairline. HD Lace Closures follow the same 16–24 inch range as the bundles.
All lengths are measured from root to tip on a straightened strand. Curly and kinky textures will appear shorter when in their natural state due to shrinkage, this is normal and expected. A 20-inch 4C Kinky bundle, for example, sits closer to shoulder length when fully coiled.
How much does each bundle weigh?
Each bundle is 100g, and this is consistent across all textures and lengths. Weight directly affects the density and fullness of your install, you'll feel the difference in how the hair sits and moves.
When comparing to other brands, this matters more than most shoppers realise. Many suppliers sell at 80–90g per bundle. The packaging looks identical, but once installed, the result is noticeably thinner. For a full sew-in with two or three bundles, that gap compounds. At 100g per bundle, what you see in the bag reflects what you'll see on your head. No filler, no padding, no compromises on weight.
Can I mix textures in one install?
Yes, and it works well when the textures are close in curl pattern. Body Wave and Loose Wave blend easily. 4C Kinky and Kinky Straight are a popular combination for women who want volume up top and stretched length at the ends. We'd recommend sticking to textures within one curl family rather than pairing, say, Body Wave with Burmese Curly, the difference in pattern will be noticeable.
Do you sell closures and frontals separately from bundles?
Yes. HD Lace Closures and HD Lace Frontals are listed separately and can be purchased without bundles. Our HD Lace Closures are 5x5 and available in all nine textures. Frontals are 13x6 ear-to-ear, also in all nine textures. Both use HD (ultra-thin) lace, which sits closer to the scalp and requires far less bleaching than standard Swiss lace.
Texture Matching
Which texture matches my natural 4C hair?
Our 4C Kinky texture was developed specifically to blend with tightly coiled 4C natural hair. The curl pattern replicates a true 4C coil, small, dense, and springy, so it integrates with your leave-out without needing to flat iron your edges into submission.
Kinky Straight and Yaki are better picks if you prefer your install stretched or blown out, rather than worn in its natural coil pattern. Both mimic the look of heat-stretched 4A–4C hair without requiring you to apply heat to your own strands.
I have 3C–4A hair. What should I order?
Burmese Curly is designed for this range. It's a looser, rounder coil that sits comfortably between the tightly coiled 4A and the softer 3C pattern, so it blends with both without requiring you to manipulate your leave-out.
Deep Wave is also a strong option for 3C–4A hair, particularly if you prefer a wavier look over a defined curl. It blends best when worn damp or refreshed with a curl cream to keep the wave activated.
If you're still deciding, our Hair Quiz will ask about your specific curl pattern and styling preferences and give you a personalised recommendation in under a minute.
Which textures work for 3A–3B natural hair?
Body Wave and Loose Wave both blend with 3A–3B curl patterns. Body Wave has a looser, more open wave that works well if your curls tend to loosen when stretched. Loose Wave is slightly tighter and better suited if your curl stays defined even at length. Loose Curls is another strong option for 3B hair, it has a bouncy, defined curl pattern that doesn't loosen out as quickly as the wave textures.
I have relaxed or transitioning hair. What do you recommend?
Natural Straight or Yaki are the standard picks for relaxed hair. Natural Straight is silky and bone straight, ideal if your relaxed hair is fully processed and very smooth. Yaki has a slight texture that mimics lightly heat-stretched or freshly blown-out relaxed hair, which tends to look more natural and less plastic than perfectly straight extensions against most scalps.
If you're transitioning and wearing your hair blown out, Kinky Straight is worth considering, it has enough texture at the root to blend with new growth while still looking straight at the ends.
I'm not sure which texture is right for me. Can I get help?
Yes. Start with the Hair Quiz, it takes about 60 seconds and asks four questions about your natural curl pattern, how you typically wear your hair, and the look you're going for. The result is a personalised texture recommendation with a direct link to shop it.
If you want a second opinion or have a specific question the quiz doesn't cover, email us at support@adeori.com. Our team responds within 1–2 business days and can advise based on your natural texture, lifestyle, and install method. We'd rather you order the right thing the first time.
Hair Quality
What does “virgin Remy human hair” actually mean?
Virgin means the hair has never been chemically processed, no dye, no perm, no relaxer. It comes from one donor, in its natural state.
Remy means the cuticles are intact and all facing the same direction, root to tip. This matters because misaligned cuticles (what you get in most mass-market hair) catch on each other, tangle, and mat over time. Cuticle-aligned hair moves like real hair and can last through repeated washing and styling.
All Adéorí hair is both virgin and Remy. It has not been stripped, coated, or treated with silicone to feel soft out of the bag.
Can I dye or bleach the hair?
Yes. Because the hair is virgin, it takes colour well. A few things to keep in mind:
- Warm tones (copper, auburn, caramel, colour 27 or 30) lift easily and look natural on our hair.
- Bleaching to platinum (613) is possible but will require a toner and more careful conditioning, any bleaching process does stress the cuticle, even on virgin hair.
- Start with a strand test, especially if you're going more than two shades lighter.
We don't recommend dyeing the hair before your first wash, wash and condition it first so you're working with hair in its cleanest state.
Can I use heat tools on the hair?
Yes. All textures are heat-safe up to 400°F / 200°C. Always use a heat protectant first, especially if you're flat ironing curly or wavy textures straight, going back to the natural pattern is possible but requires a proper steam or wet set, and excessive heat straightening will loosen the texture permanently over time.
Curly textures like 4C Kinky, Burmese Curly, and Deep Wave will revert when washed after heat styling. This is normal behaviour for virgin hair and is actually the sign of a quality product.
How long will the hair last?
With proper care, Adéorí extensions last 1–2 years through multiple installs. The biggest factors are how often you wash it, how much heat you use, and whether you store it properly between installs. Extensions that are washed regularly, deep-conditioned, and stored flat or in a silk bag tend to outlast those that aren't. Extensions worn daily with daily flat ironing will have a shorter lifespan.
Where is the hair sourced from?
We source from ethical suppliers who work directly with donors in established hair-collection regions. All hair is collected with donor consent, and suppliers are required to compensate donors fairly. We do not source from operations that use exploitative practices or collect hair without consent.
Virgin Remy hair at this quality level cannot come from a faceless supply chain. We maintain direct relationships with suppliers we have vetted and verified over time, holding those relationships to the same standards we hold our product. What arrives in the bag started with a person who agreed to donate and was paid properly for it.
Care & Maintenance
How do I wash my extensions?
Wash in lukewarm water, never hot, using a sulphate-free shampoo. Hot water lifts the cuticle and accelerates frizz and shedding over time.
- Detangle gently from ends to roots before getting the hair wet.
- Apply shampoo in downward strokes following the hair's natural direction, don't scrub in circles.
- Rinse thoroughly. Product buildup is one of the main reasons extensions feel stiff or dull.
- Follow with a moisturising conditioner or deep conditioner. Leave on for at least 5 minutes before rinsing.
For curly textures: scrunch conditioner in and rinse with cool water to encourage the curl to reform.
How often should I wash the hair?
Every 1–2 weeks when installed is the general guideline. If you're active or use a lot of product, washing weekly will help prevent buildup at the weft. If your scalp tends to run dry, every two weeks is fine.
Overwashing doesn't damage the extensions directly, but it shortens their lifespan when not paired with conditioning. Extensions don't produce natural oils the way your scalp does, so frequent washing without deep conditioning will leave them dry and brittle faster than they should be.
If you're storing the hair between installs, wash it once before storing and once before reinstalling to keep the texture clean and ready.
How do I store extensions between installs?
Wash and dry completely before storing, storing damp hair leads to mould and odour. Once dry:
- Store flat in the original packaging, or loosely rolled in a silk or satin bag.
- Keep out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources.
- Don't fold tightly, creasing at the weft weakens the track over time.
For curly textures, loosely twisting or braiding the hair before storing helps the curl pattern stay defined for the next wear.
My extensions are tangling. What's causing it?
The most common causes are product buildup, sleeping on the hair without a protective style, and skipping deep conditioning. If tangling is happening near the weft specifically, it's usually a sign that the hair needs a thorough clarifying wash followed by a deep conditioning treatment. If tangling is happening throughout the length, friction from cotton pillowcases is often the culprit, switch to satin or silk, or wrap the hair before bed.
