The Story
of Adéorí
ah-day-OH-ree · "crown for the head" in Yoruba
The industry had
a problem.
In 2013, the hair extension industry was built for one type of hair: straight, fine, European.
"Curly" meant slightly wavy. "Textured" meant a bad perm on straight hair. Women with 4C, 4B, 3C hair were told to "make it work."
Extensions slipped out. Wefts were too thick. Curl patterns never matched. Nobody understood shrinkage or porosity.

We began with
textured hair.
Our first product: machine wefts designed specifically for coily, kinky, textured hair.
Thin enough to lay flat on dense hair. Strong enough not to slip. Tested on real Black women, not mannequins.
We obsessed over what other brands ignored: grip on 4C hair, shrinkage patterns, porosity differences, curl pattern matching.
"Like a peacock's display, we weren't hiding
what made us different. We were leading with it."

Then we realised
something.
Customers started asking: "Do you make straight textures? Can my sister with fine hair use this?"
The rigour that made us exceptional at textured hair made us better at all hair.
When you can create a weft that lays flat on 4C braids, it disappears in fine straight hair. When you master shrinkage for 3C curls, you nail wave patterns for 2B hair.

Why the peacock.
Why Adéorí.
Adéorí is a Yoruba word meaning "crown for the head." Your hair isn't just hair. It's identity, heritage, power.
The peacock became our symbol because it embodies what we believe: pride without apology.
The peacock doesn't hide its feathers. It displays them. Your 4C coils aren't something to "manage." They're something to crown. Your texture isn't a problem to solve. It's a statement to make.
Whether you wear your natural hair, add length,
protect it in a wig, or switch textures entirely
wear it with pride.
Wear your
crown.
Cuticle-intact Remy hair. Every texture. Worldwide.
