Ayaba carries the biggest, boldest silhouette in the range on purpose. It's a 3mm z-pattern coil, one size up from Adé and Ìyẹ́, matched to 4B hair, and it reads as maximum afro volume rather than a defined ringlet.

Ayaba means queen in Yoruba. It went on the fullest, boldest texture in the set for a reason. Nothing subtle about a queen's presence, and nothing subtle about this coil.

Best for

4B hair looking for full-volume afro texture, not a tighter defined curl. If your hair holds its shape at a slightly looser coil than 4C but you want maximum fullness rather than ringlet definition, Ayaba is built for that specifically. It's a bolder, kinkier pattern than Ìyẹ́ or Wúrà, sized to fill out rather than to spiral.

Compare to its neighbors

Tighter: Adé — 4C Kinky Coily (2mm, z-pattern). Looser: Ọ̀yàyà — Tight Kinky Curly (3mm, s-pattern, 4A), same coil size as Ayaba, but an s-pattern instead of z, and matched to 4A rather than 4B. If Ayaba looks a touch too kinky and not curly enough, Ọ̀yàyà is the pattern-shape swap to check.

Length, shrinkage, and set count

Worn in pattern, Ayaba sits roughly 3–4 inches shorter than its stated length. Order accordingly if length is the priority. It's one of the higher-volume-per-gram textures in the range, so most installs run 2 sets at shoulder length and 3 for longer or fullest looks, the same rule of thumb as Adé, Ìyẹ́, and Ọ̀yàyà. Pair with our HD closure or HD frontal at the same set count.

Care

Full-volume textures like Ayaba do best with minimal daily manipulation. Protect at night, stretch wash days, and let the coil do the work it's built to do rather than re-styling between washes.
