Best for

4A hair with a densely packed curly-fro pattern that wants bounce and definition without the shrinkage of a tighter z-pattern. If you've found other "4A" extensions either too loose to blend or too tight and kinky-reading, Ọ̀yàyà's s-pattern sits in between on purpose.

Compare to its neighbors

Looser: Wúrà — Kinky Curly (4mm, s-pattern, 3C–4A). Tighter: Ayaba — Afro Kinky (3mm, z-pattern, 4B), same coil size, sharper pattern. One thing worth knowing before you order: Ọ̀yàyà and Ayaba share a similar rhythm in the name (both carry that a-y-a sound), but the textures themselves are distinct: 4A bouncy curl versus 4B kinky volume. If you're between the two, match on pattern shape (s versus z) rather than the names.

Length, shrinkage, and set count

Worn in pattern, expect roughly 3–4 inches of shrinkage from the stated length. Ọ̀yàyà runs efficient on volume. Most installs use 2 sets at shoulder length, 3 for longer or fullest looks. Add our HD closure or HD frontal at the same count.
