Who Body Wave Is For

Body wave is the most universally flattering texture in the Adéorí range and the strongest entry point for women trying extensions for the first time. It suits 2B–3A natural hair best, where the extension's loose S-wave aligns naturally with your own curl pattern. Women with relaxed, texlaxed, or heat-trained hair will also find that body wave blends without requiring any adjustment to their natural texture. The wave is full enough to look luxurious at any length, understated enough to read as natural, and versatile enough to go from straight to wavy to curly depending on how you style it. It's also the easiest texture to blend across multiple hair types, which is why it's consistently the top seller.

How Body Wave Behaves

Body wave produces a broad, open S-wave that flows from root to end with consistent volume. The wave is soft rather than defined, meaning it moves with the body and doesn't require product to hold its shape. In humidity, the wave tightens very slightly and gains volume; in dry conditions, it may relax toward a straighter finish. Shrinkage is low: around 10–20% from the measured length. The hair has medium porosity and responds well to moisture, leave-in conditioner applied while the hair is wet will maintain shine and softness throughout the week. Body wave is fully heat-safe and accepts colour to 613.

How to Care for Body Wave Extensions

Wash every 7–10 days with sulfate-free shampoo and moisturising conditioner, rinsed in cool water. Air dry flat or use a diffuser on low heat, scrunching upward while the hair is wet encourages the wave to reform. Avoid brushing when dry; use a wide-tooth comb on wet hair only. If heat styling, keep below 380°F and apply heat protectant. Deep condition every two to three weeks if styling with heat regularly. Store detangled in a silk or satin bag between wears. How Many Bundles to Order

Body wave has low shrinkage (10–20%), so the installed length stays close to the measured length. At 16"–18": 2 bundles covers most full sew-ins. At 20"–22": 2–3 bundles. At 24"+: 3 bundles. If you're adding an HD Lace Closure or HD Lace Frontal, reduce by one bundle. For a partial sew-in with leave-out, 2 bundles at 16"–20" is typically enough. Body wave blends well with Loose Wave if you want to mix textures in one install. All Adéorí human hair bundles are 100 grams each and sold individually.
