Loose Wave is for women with 2B–3A natural hair, or anyone who wants a relaxed, effortless wave that sits naturally without much styling. If your hair dries into a gentle ripple rather than a defined curl, Loose Wave will blend invisibly. It's also the preferred texture for women who want something more textured than straight but don't want the maintenance or volume commitment of a deeper curl. Loose Wave is a strong choice for first-time extension wearers: it's low-maintenance, versatile across seasons, and suits a wide range of skin tones and face shapes because of its natural, undone quality.

How Loose Wave Behaves

Loose Wave has a fluid, undulating ripple rather than a tight or defined curl. The wave is soft and open, it moves freely with the body and doesn't require product to maintain its shape. In humidity, the wave becomes slightly more defined and full; in very dry conditions, it may relax toward a wavy-straight finish. Shrinkage is low: 10–20% from measured length. The hair has medium porosity and holds moisture well. It's extremely heat-friendly: Loose Wave flat-irons to a smooth straight or curls beautifully around a wand, making it one of the most style-versatile textures in the range. The wave re-forms naturally after washing.

How to Care for Loose Wave Extensions

Wash every 7–14 days depending on wear frequency and scalp activity. Use sulfate-free shampoo and a lightweight conditioner, avoid heavy cream conditioners that can weigh the wave down and reduce volume. Rinse in cool water, then gently squeeze out excess moisture with a microfiber towel. Apply a light leave-in or wave spray and allow to air dry. The wave will reform without product in most cases. If heat styling frequently, use a heat protectant and deep condition every two weeks. Store detangled in a silk bag. Loose Wave is the most low-maintenance texture in the collection for day-to-day wear.

How Many Bundles to Order

Loose Wave has under 20% shrinkage, so the measured length is very close to the installed length. At 16"–18": 2 bundles. At 20"–22": 2–3 bundles. At 24"+: 3 bundles. With an HD Lace Closure or HD Lace Frontal, reduce by one bundle. Loose Wave blends well with Body Wave if you want to mix textures; avoid pairing with Burmese Curly or Deep Wave, the contrast in pattern is visible at blend points. Because Loose Wave heat-styles easily and the wave reforms after washing, the same install works straight or wavy. All Adéorí bundles are 100 grams and sold individually.
